Richard Chan of New Westminster, British Columbia - Doctor Rating

well i will tell you about Dr Chan he told me that i needed back surgery so i did and i seen him the day i went into the room and i never seen he at all when i was in the hospital i was there for 3 days and see no doc at all then when the day that i went home i was hurting really bad so a week went bye and i went to see Dr Chan and went for blood test and i had staff infection what i never had before so for weeks i went to the hospital in Chilliwack BC 3 hours 2 times a day to get my intravenous and then i still had alot of things go on so then he sent me to another Dr so i did and now i am going in for surgery again something has to be done about this.So please if this helps anyone please let me know.

First of all, let me say that i´ ve read some real negative comments about Dr. Chan, which i personally find unfounded. What his hair cut looks like or the fact that he is not falling all over you with pleasantries has no bearing on the fact of his great abilities as a surgeon. Back surgery or whatever surgery your having is never the same from one person to the next and as a result the outcome of that surgery can vary as well. I personally had back surgery on three levels on September 7th at the False Creek Medical Centre, where Dr. Chan was my surgeon. The level of care that i recieved there by all the staff including Dr. Chan was excellent! My post operative visit that night with Dr. Chan and in the following two weeks showed a very proffessional and caring doctor. I´ m still in reccovery, but the pain in my legs is gone and i can only hope for the better that i may be able to return to work some day. Whatever the outcome of my situation, I´ m truly greatful to Dr. Chan for his ablility and dedication as a surgeon, not to mention his great staff. I would recommend Dr. Chan to anyone as well as False Creek Medial Centre, great people, great care. Thanks Dr. Chan and staff.
