He´ s old, impatient, doesn´ t listen, doesn´ t care, and he kept hitting me on the side of my leg to shut me up when I was trying to explain my symptoms. He´ s and Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor, and I went in with complaints of fluttering sensation in my ears and extreme sensitivity to noise. I wasn´ t losing my hearing, I was sensitive to noise and vibration. But he didn´ t listen. He just sent me in for a hearing test, and the results showed I had no hearing loss.(NO KIDDING!) And when the audiologist gave me the tympanogram (vibrating tuning fork test), I nearly fainted when that vibrating fork was next to my ear. The room was spinning, I felt nauseas, and my eyes began darting around uncontrollably. I was helped back to the exam room because I couldn´ t walk straight. My eyes continued darting around and I began crying because I didn´ t know how long this condition would last. Dr. Spooner thought I was " faking it" . He looked in my ears and told me there was no scarring, no problems there. He kept hitting me on the side of the leg, rolling his eyes, and telling me nothing was wrong, even though my eyes were darting around, I kept telling him that the vibration from the tuning fork made me have this attack, but he rushed me out of his office. The ladies at the front desk didn´ t want the other patients in the front room to see me this way, so they sat me down in their office and tried to calm me down, then sent me through the back exit. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR! He´ s unethical and should have retired a long time ago. He´ s apathetic and doesn´ t care about patients, he cares more about his golf game and social standing. |
