| 3 | 5 | 5 | 2 | 1 | He feels irresponsible to remind a patient with critical illness, he has a note in his clinic. He spends 20 minutes with a patient explaining to him/her his ability and experience but he does not act as a professional to help a patient who desparately needs him. His secretary gives time to patients for every 15 minutes but the patients see the doctor waiting for more than one hour. In the critical time when I needed him for my prostate cancer he did not send me for any MRI or CT Scan test. |
| 10 | 10 | 10 | 9 | 10 | He has been my doctor for the last 5 years. He saved my life from cancer when I was repeatedly sent home from my previous doctor who would take less than 5 minutes to see me and would rarely examine me. He is a specialist with extensive clinical experience and it certainly shows. He will not tolerate people who are frequently negligent of their own responsibility for their health by not doing the proper follow-up with the doctor or going for tests when asked. At times his office runs late because as I have seen on numerous occasions his very ill patients often show up on an urgent basis to be seen without an appointment and both he and his secretary are too compassionate to turn them away. My family all go to him and he detected heart disease requiring a balloon operation to open 2 arteries in my 35 year old brother-in-law recently. To the previous rater I would say you probably did not even bother see him on a regular basis and are probably one of those patients who think proper medical care is going to walk-in clinics and only go to a world class doctor like him only when you are finally desperate and when it may be too late. |
| 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | This is a most competent,well-read,genuinely caring specialist doctor. It is 6 years I go to him and he has treated me with great respect, patience and skill. I have a serious disease which he found and has been treating me for. He gives me information on my problem and the latest in therapy. I owe my life to him. Most of his patients are very ill patients as other doctors send him patients to diagnose and treat. My sister-in-law was diagnosed with a cancer by him after it was missed by her own office doctor and another doctor in the hospital. He listened carefully to her complaints, did a thorough check-up, told her what he suspected and sent her for ultrasound and MRI for confirmation. He then quickly arranged treatments for her which she is getting. He is available to see her on short notice and even same day if necessary. He is tireless, highly motivated but will not tolerate people who are not serious about their health or who hide information from him such as what test they have had before. If you do not follow through on the testing or treatment repeatedly he asks you why you choose to come still and in the rare occasion I have seen him offer the patient to go elsewhere. He has a good sense of humor and bedside manner, courteous, respectful but also very serious when it comes to the disease. He is totally absorbed in your case when you are in his office and apologizes when he has to take a call from a family doctor asking for advice. He is not at all concerned about money it seems as he spends a lot of time with his patients and because he allows urgent ill patients to come in between patients he sometimes runs late in the office. I will gladly wait to see him because tomorrow it will be my turn to see him urgently and someone else will wait for me. His secretary is also very sweet girl who works too hard to please everyone. My previous doctor was purely running a money business, was always reading other people´ s charts while seeing me, charging me an annual fee to be available which he really was not. Previous doctor also made me wait up to 2 hours for a 2 minute visit leaving me with many questions for " next time" and talking about his money. Dr. Baghdadlian is the exact opposite and I have given his name to many friends and relatives and they are all very satisfied and have thanked me.He is very busy doctor but always gives his time for me to my most satisfaction. BEAUTIFUL DOCTOR. |
| 10 | 10 | 10 | 8 | 10 | Very knowledgeable specialist with patience in listening to patients. He gets referred cases who have seen many physicians prior and is often able to help when others were unable to offer anything. In my case he helped me recover from a three year old illness that had made me unable to work. His secretary is also very capable and I have seen her put up with a lot of difficult patients in the office. |
| 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | I realize that by rating Dr B so highly, it may seem as though we are " friends" .
Not so.
My spouse has seen him on numerous occasions..for an ongoing problem.
Dr B is knowledgeable, caring, up to date , and knows what has to be done to help one regain ones health. He allows his patients to be equal partners in their healing process. He expects his patients to want to be well, and helps them achieve that goal through his expertise and insight, and sound medical knowledge, all administered through a caring positive attitude.
God Bless Dr B. |
| 10 | 10 | 10 | 4 | 9 | Dr. Baghdadlian is one of the few doctors who actually listens to his patients. He takes time to explain his thinking, possible problems with treatment, and the likelihood of improvement or cure. |
| 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | Wow. A doctor who actually reads a new patient´ s file before going into the appointment so he can get " the big picture" adn hit the ground running during the actual appointment. A doctor who isn´ t guided solely by test results, but genuinely looks at the nuances of each case and is guided by what is best for the patient.
There is a sign in the waiting room " No gifts please" which I couldn´ t understand before I met him, but now I understand it completely. After 18 months of hopelessly trekking from specialist to specialist, Dr B was the first doctor to 1) not suggest it was in my mind and 2) start me on aggressive treatment and keep an open mind about my Lyme test results.
As the previous poster said: God Bless Dr. B. |
| 6 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 2 | By far the biggest jerk on the face of this earth. I´ ve never had the misfortune of meeting such a rude, egotistical and dismissive person, much less a doctor, in my life. He brushed me off because and i quote " I´ m not making enough money from this appointment to sit here with you for more than 15 minutes" . He is indifferent about his patients health and cares about no one but himself...the wife is no better. My appointment was at 4 and he took me in at 5:30 and then complains people aka patients " waste" his time. I watched and heard a disabled person, who´ s appointment was at 4 mind you, tell the receptionist, who happens to be the other half of that rotten apple, that he had to leave at 5:30 (most people don´ t expect to wait an hour and a half after their appointment to see a doctor) and that low life doctor told him to just leave and not to bother him. How on Gods green earth does this guy have any patients? What are you people thinking? He referred to my serious digestive problem as a " belly ache" . Not only will I never see this doctor again, I will be sure to advise anyone else who is even considering seeing this money hungry psychopath otherwise. He told a friend of mine that asked for a referral for a second opinion, and again i quote, " next time you want a second opinion don´ t let me be the first one" . Given everything I just typed I highly urge you do reconsider seeing this doctor. Just in case you disregard everything you just read and do go see him, be careful not to trip over his ego on your way out.
Thanks |
| 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | I happened to be in the office when the obnoxious fellow in the above review was there. It had to be him because he kept telling the receptionist in a loud and rude manner that his abdominal problem which he admitted had been going on for over one year and that his GP had dismissed could not wait any longer. He had the attitude that he was the most important patient in the waiting room demanding to be seen ahead of the rest of us including a man in a wheelchair. The doctor is a well-respected specialist who takes his time with all his patients but has to put up with all the rejects and losers that no one else knows what to do with. In fact patients fly in from other cities to consult with him! I and my family have been his patients for alnmost 8 years and he is absolutely an oustanding model physician beyond reproach. The " jerk" in the above review obviously was a disturbed individual and his dissertation describes himself better than the doctor. He probably abused the doctor so much that on the way out I heard the doctor say " I´ m sorry but you will have to find another doctor" and asked his lovely receptionist who also has to put up with such psychos to close his file permanently. Of course in retaliation for being asked to never return he anonymously and in a cowardly manner writes that garbage for anyone who is naive enough to believe that trash. If you want to see a no nonsense compassionate specialist with a problem your GP has failed to resolve he is THE MAN to see! Of course he may run late at times as he gets deeply involved with the patients problems but you will not find a doctor as good as him. WELL WORTH THE WAIT. David S. |
| 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | Folks I have been seeing this physician for the last 7 years and I can tell you that he truly turned my life around. I had been suffering from a disease which left me completely debilitated, in pain and on long term disability. My whole family was suffering. I had been to countless doctors and specialists over the years who failed not only to diagnose my problem but also would tell me to live with my prolems. The first visit with him lasted nearly 90 minutes and he went back several years in my history to " get the whole picture" . He was genuinely interested in my case and sent me for tests that the others had failed to do. The most important fact is that he believed in me and treated me and I am now able to live my life pain-free and have resumed my occupation (I am a lawyer) and regained my dignity again. I am so happy to hear that he threw out that irresponsible psychopathic imbecile (2 reviews above)from his office. People like that should not be allowed to have access to such a highly esteemed physician as they take away his valuable time which is better spent on people who really need his help. Hey buddy your " belly ache" is caused by the fact that you are obviously constipated and full of it. The physician is well-read, competent, practical in his approach and willing to work through my problems one by one and not just ignore the ones that are difficult to handle. HE IS AN EXCELLENT PHYSICIAN. HIS THOUSANDS OF DEVOTED PATIENTS ATTEST TO THAT FACT. RANDY W.

| 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | I was diagnosed with reactive arthritus , then rhumetoid arthritus and none of the drugs worked ,I was freezing up , forced to retire and then a friend gave me Doctor B´ s number , I went to my family Doctor and he asked me why I wanted to see Doctor B and I said " lets get to the bottom of this once and for all " and that is how I met Doctor B . In the past 3 months of doctor B´ s treatments I am almost back to normal ,and I´ m not sure any more what normal is , but I know I´ m on the road to recovery , no more pain , and I feel like living again , thanks to Doctor B ...he listened and asked questions and did the ground work , I owe Doctor b my life and am eternally grateful to him . | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | My mother, who , was a very active successful and strong middle age woman, and in fact a very talented artist, suddenly started suffering a combination of multiple complicated symptoms that no doctor who saw her anywhere within Canada nor overseas was able to diagnose, she was getting more sick by the day, and was seen by the best doctors in almost every department that exists in the medical field, did all kinds of blood work tests and scans, nothing was pointing at a specific disease to match her symptoms, she was a very complicated case that puzzled all the doctors she’s visited. She was put on many medications, but nothing seemed to be the cure. More and more symptoms started to occur and it was getting serious, she got to the point where she was in bed, and couldn’t move. Her symptoms included rash, fever, body aches, muscle pain and swollen joints, irregular heart beat, memory loss, vision and hearing loss, jaw and throat muscle tension, the symptoms were there all the time and wouldn’t go away for more than 4 years, only getting worse. We heard about Dr. Baghdadlian as one of the best infectious disease doctors who has a clinic in Toronto, and treats most of the complicated cases, we travelled to him seeking help with no hope, expecting he would say the same words we hear every time we take my mother to see a doctor. Dr. Baghdadlian looked at her file, and was able to diagnose the case right away by looking the all the blood work she’s done, his method of diagnosing was different, he tried to connect all blood work results he has in a very smart way, started the treatment on her based on her symptoms along with the blood work, and within 3 months she started to get her life back slowly, she’s still on the treatment now, and will remain on it till she’s fully cured, Dr. Baghdadlian with God’s blessings was able to give my mother back her strength, he’s her doctor now whom she trusts as he’s a very knowledgeable and intelligent doctor who truly cares for his patients and take his time to explain and answer all their concerns, he discussed the treatment with my mother, and treats her based on how much her body responses without feeling tired or getting side effects, and never pushes a treatment on her, and informs her of the options available and situation expected to be in under a specific medication. He treats his patients with love wanting to see them get better, he is very honest, even if we try to reach him by the phone to seek any help, we always get the help needed to get the treatment running smoothly for my mother. We went to see him the first time with no hope, but he gave my mother and all of us the hope to see her healthy again. For that nothing we can do would pay it off, or say thank you to this cheerful person, but I’m sure he sees it in her when she’s able to walk again and get back her life that she had lost for all those years.

| 10 | 10 | 10 | 8 | 10 | Dr Baghdadlian is saving my life with his knowledge and skills. |
| 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | My husband is being treated by Dr. B. I work within the medical community and searched high and low to find Dr. B. My husband´ s health has been failing for the past 2 + years (late 20s) for no apparent reason, after tons of medical testing done by the docs I work with everyone was at an apparent loss. Dr. B. not only gave my husband the diagnosis and has now started him on treatment but my husband has come home from every appointment with a better understanding of the disease he has now been diagnosed, after two years of no hope Dr. B. has given our family and most importantly my husband hope that eventually he will feel better, even though some of the damage will be permanent. If it wasn´ t for Dr. B. I have no doubt that my husband would be continuing to spiral downwards without the cause being diagnosed. My husband has very clearly expressed to me that Dr. B. is an amazing doc who actually cares and who will spend as much time as needed with each patient. After so long of being shrugged off, my husband would wait as long as necessary in the waiting room and still be appreciative for his time. With only one doc, that I have been able to find, in Canada with his expertise I think anyone who has been given a diagnosis by him will attest to the fact that he is a life-saver, literally! Not just life, but quality of life are important to him. I work within the medical community and with a birds-eye perspective of many docs, I know this is very valuable and very rare! I will sing his praises to all of the GPs that I work with and make sure that they start referring to him and using his expertise. |
| 10 | 10 | 10 | 7 | 9 | rarely can find such dedicated & Knowledgeable professional |
| 9 | 10 | 7 | 2 | 7 | Needs a prompt secretary who answers the phone, or at the very least, returns messages... it is a nightmare trying to book an appointment. I have had three appointments to see him; all three times, i have waited between 2 hours to 2.5 hours to get in the room. yes, he is a competent doctor, but most of us have better things to do than wait in a doctor´ s office for hours. I can understand waiting for 30 minutes, even 45 minutes, but anything more than 1 hour is excessive and unheard of. |
| 10 | 10 | 10 | 9 | 10 | I have found him to be very patient and he listens carefully to what is said as he tries to get to the bottom of the problem. My previous doctors shuffled me through the assembly line and while I may have waited 30 to 90 minutes for my other doctors they would only spend 3 to 7 minutes with me and never solved any of my problems. That is ridiculous! Dr. Baghdadlian is a specialist and spends a great deal of time with each patient and that is why it may be hard to get an appointment with him as there are only so many hours in the day. My usual wait with him has been 30 to 45 minutes and if it is ever longer than that it has been because of the several patients who come without appointments insisting they are very ill and hassling his poor secretary at the front desk until she finally squeezes them in. I would strongly recommend him. |
| 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | We have to clone Dr. Baghdadlain, becouse it is hard to find specialist who willing and know to help. |
| 9 | 9 | 8 | 3 | 8 | If you notice, most comments here will be extremely positive and if there are any that are negative it is in my opinion ( from what I have witnessed in the office ) because as a poster mentioned Dr B has little tolerance for individuals who refuse to take some responsibility for thier own health. If Dr B has been short or has appeared to have behaved with lack of compassion it is likely because the patient is demanding or agressive, closed minded about his own condition, and/or refuses to comply with the dr´ s suggestions. Dr B and his partner are not scapegoats for others frustration with the system, and just because they are both gentle kind people it does not mean that they will not assert themselves when patients try to push them around. Dr B is an extremely open minded and intelligent dr who will work with you as a team as long as you are putting in the effort, and as far as his partner, she does a wonderful job for the amount of work she has to do and she deserves respect no matter how long you must wait in the office. Most Dr´ s in Dr B´ s position would have closed the practise for new patients long ago, I would thank your lucky stars if you are lucky enough to see him.

| 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | My husband just started going to Dr. B, after 5 years of seeing many other doctors and neurologists (that could not find out what was wrong with him). Dr. B. had already read his file before we got there and after speaking with us, gave us a diagnosis and planned the treatment. He is a very nice man, listens to you and actually hears what you have to say. He is so busy, but took the time to talk with my son who came with us ( who has also been to various doctors) and arrange an appointment for him. He is very intelligent, warm, kind and he does not get impatient because his office is so full of people. Dr. B. is, by far, the best doctor that we have been to see - if only there were more like him. R.D. |
| 10 | 10 | 10 | 9 | 10 | This Doctor saved me from ending up in a nursing home. He listended to me, believed me, tested me, properly diagnosed me, treated me, monitored me and healed me! I am able to drive again, work angain and take care of my family and myself again, because of Doctor B. Numerous Doctors had misdiagnosed me or dismissed me over 7 yrs. I was desparate, and he treated me with respect and dignity. I owe my life to Dr. B. and his receptionist who has taken time for me. Yep, sometimes you have to wait, but if you have been one of those desparate people who he has taken his time with, then you more than understand the wait, and you are grateful for it. |
| 10 | 10 | 10 | 7 | 10 | I owe my life to this Dr. Not only did he diagnose my cancer (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) in and quick and efficient manner but he aslo was able to determine the correct cancer and type before the oncolygists at Sunnybrooke Hospital had even completed their battery of tests. He truly is a brilliant doctor and though it is true that you may have to wait a while to see him, I think it´ s worth not dieing for... |
| 10 | 10 | 10 | 5 | 10 | I truly enjoyed this doctor and feel like he is very interested in taking good care of me. He is enjoyable, polite, and knowledgable. He is enthusiastic about his work, which is hard to find these days. I felt my hope restored that I will get to the bottom of my illness with him. |
| 10 | 7 | 7 | 6 | 1 | This ´ specialist´ is truly a lyme-literate MD. It is difficult to get an appt initially and wait times (in office) are generally long but worth it as he is oft times a doc of last resort. His opinions are based on many years of hands on expereince; however, his achilles heal lies in the fact that he refuse to report to family doctors and/or fill out necessary medical papers fro insurance puproses etc. or so my expereince went. Others have xpereinced the same thing. Too bad this guy couldn´ t become a bit more ´ responsible´ . Seems as i9f he might be a bit too smart for his own good. This doesn´ t mean I would not use his services in future if they were available. He stopped corresponding with me a a very inopportune time and refused to give any reason. Judge yourselves accordingly. when good , we priase, when bad , we scold, as it should be and ever will be. |
| 10 | 10 | 10 | 9 | 10 | He was the only physician who spent 1-1/2 hours with us at the first visit to get a thorough picture of my daughter´ s illness and reviewed the binder of information we brought to the office. He even made arrangements to get additional reports that we didn´ t have. He has many types of patients not only infections who I got to talking with in the waiting room as you will wait usually about an hour. There was a lady with a bad heart, and a guy with severe diabetes who his previous doctor had given up on the last visit. In our case my GP got not only a full report he also sent him all the lab and scan results. He filled my daughter´ s insurance forms and she was accepted. The phone is often busy so what call again. My daughter is no longer in her wheelchair her joint pains are nearly all gone and the burning pains also. He even returned one of my calls on the weekend because his office often runs into the evening during the week. They don´ t make them like this anymore. If you still don´ t think he is one of the best then maybe the problem is with you. God bless Dr. B. John S. |
| 10 | 10 | 10 | 8 | 10 | Not only is he a nice person, but an excellent diagnostician. I am a nurse and am quite frankly fed up with the non-caring attitudes of many doctors today. Many (not all) have their hand on the door knob after 5 minutes or so - (so you get the hint they want you to ask no more questions). Some doctors today, won´ t let you come in for more than one ailment. If you have two- you need to come back. How sad is this! If doctors took more time to hear what patients are saying- they may not miss as many problems as they do. Dr. B is second to none. He never rushes you and is truly caring! I have never been to a doctor as wonderful as Dr. B. He is the epitamy of what a doctor should be. Unfortunately- there is a shortage of doctors, so this has contributed to the long waits and poor service. You do wait a long time to see him but that is OK because when you do see him - he focuses on you completely. Perhaps they could schedule every 1/2 hour instead of every 15 minutes, but other than that I would go to no-one else. Triple AAA doctor! The lady who was in the office with the rude man- you are right about that man´ s arrogance. I have seen people be very selfish and ME oriented in medicine. There is always one in every group. Kudos to Dr. B for kicking him out of his practice! |
| 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | Dr. Baghdadlian and his secretary should be cloned. They are very respectful, patient and understanding. Dr. Baghdadlian treats his patients as a " patient" not a " number" ... I feel valued when speaking to him about my health concerns. He asks probing questions; drilling down to the cause and reason for the visit; recommending the best type of resolution; he is positive and proactive. His secretary is extremely friendly, caring and compassionate. She always returns my calls when requested. We should be so blessed to have such caring, compassionate and dedicated team. My visit is worth the drive...very humble team! I am most impressed by their teamwork to running the office effective and efficiently. They make the work seamless...from the first patient of the day to the last patient of the day...10 to 12 hour work day! Please don´ t forget to say " Thank you" on your next visit. Pay it forward...do something nice for someone today, tomorrow and the next day...:) RV |

| 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | Dr. B helped me when several doctors I went to did not find what the cause of my illness was. He took a very careful listen to my problems and even helped me get files from hospitals I had been to a few years ago to get the complete picture. He then worked out a treatment plan. He stuck with me throughout the treatment and because of him I am now able to get on with my life and have gone back to work even. He is the best and very honest. When I asked him something else one day out of his field he did not know he said he did not know but arranged an appointment with someone who was able to help me and then followed through on those recommendations. They don´ t make them like this any more. He will not put up with loud and abusive disruptive types who think they are more important than others however. His wife is amazing also to put up with all the people she deals with daily. Bless them both. C.T. |
| 10 | 9 | 10 | 9 | 10 | Dr. Baghdadlian is a kind, caring and knowldgeable doctor. When no other doctor would listen to me Dr. B spent the necessary time to diagnose my condition and within 9 months from first seeing him I was well. I was very impressed with his diagnostic ability and the amount of research he does to stay up to date. |
| 10 | 10 | 10 | 5 | 10 | I was treated by Dr. Baghdadlian for Lyme Disease. He was very professional, knowledgeable and kind. He brought me from despair to hope because so many of the doctors I had seen, didn´ t know the signs of Lyme, that it was in Canada, or how to treat it, not to mention that Blood Tests in Canada are often incorrect. He is a true doctor who put so much on the line in order to save so many people from falling into despair after contracting Lyme Disease when most doctors either closed their eyes or didn´ t keep up with the news. He should be honoured for his excellence in his profession. |

| 10 | 10 | 10 | 9 | 10 | I have been a patient of Dr. B" s. since February 2009. After wandering around to see numerous specialists for over 8 years with a whole host of symptoms, he was able to diagnose that I was a victim of a deer tick bite. Previous doctors could only rule out what I did not have with one neurologist suggesting that I had MS. That was 11 years ago. The recovery was slow (over 2 years) however he never gave up. Today I feel 1000 times better and I continue to see improvement. A doctor who listens and does not form an opinion until he has listend to his patinet is very rare indeeed. My family and I are so grateful that he was able to restore me to health. Thank-you doctor B.! (SW)
