| 2 | 3 | 4 | 1 | 3 | Dr. Prasad had been my psychiatrist for about 4 years until I finally said " to hell with him, to hell with mental health" , he was a much better doctor than the psych I originally had, but never overly helpful. His big thing with me (and I suspect with all of his patients) was prescribing drugs -- no more, no less. Pop a pill, don´ t deal with the real issues at hand. I asked him once about the possibility of getting off the drugs for a couple of different reasons, he said " NO" but was unwilling to work with me to come up with a comparable treatment plan. He was always an hour or more behind with his appointments and often when I was in his office I felt rushed (in the door and out just as soon as he could sign his prescription pad), as though he was trying to get through everyone as quickly as possible so he could get out of there on time. Next to impossible to get an appointment with him unless pre-booked at your previous appointment, the one and only time I phoned and asked his receptionist to have him return my call, he never did. Not sure if he even received the message, but took calls from others during our meetings all the time. |
