I paid him $17,000 to get a facelift, browlift, and upper and lower eyes done and suffered great disfigurment and permanant damage from his work. Big mistake using a plastic surgeon who was a generalist and also had a large portion of his practice in reconstructive work, he´ s not proficient or experienced enough for what I had - I should have chosen a surgeon who did primarily cosmetic face work. Not one of his procedures was successful. The first clue I had that things weren´ t going well is when after he had supposedly removed all the stitches I had to go back a week later to have roughly 20 more removed all over my head that he had missed. By that time some had grown into and under the skin and had to be cut out. The nurse said he had been in a rush the first time! After a years time when the surgery results were final I was left with upper lids and eyes that were very mismatched with a lot of excess, drooping, loose skin. The browlift had failed and my eyebrows wound up raised on the inside, drooping on the outside in a permanently surprised expression and one was noticably higher than the other. The hairline above one ear was 3/4 in. higher than the other ear, with a large bulbous gathering of skin the size of a silver dollar at one temple. The dark circles under my eyes he was going to get rid of by repositioning fat pads remained unchanged except for the addition of what looks like burst blood vessels, so the discolouration is actually worse. There is a permanant dead zone where the nerves were cut and I´ ll never feel anything again along my lower jaw and neck. He said he´ d fix all the problems, but it was so bad I was afraid to let him touch me again. I´ ve had 2 surgeries with another doctor for $7,000 to fix most of it, but the nerve damage is irrepairable, the hailine can only be fixed with a hair graft, a surgery I am not willing to endure, and a small bit of the temple bulge remains. I´ ll live with it as I just can´ t go through any more surgery. I will have to wear my hair down for the rest of my life to hide it. Demianczuk never appologized, and the closest he ever got to admitting his huge failure was the offer to fix the problems, most of which I had to point out to him. When I said I wanted to use someone else he said he would pay for it, but when the other doctor wouldn´ t agree to swapping patient services (I´ ll fix up your mistakes if you fix mine), meaning Demianczuk would need to pay out of pocket, he reniged on the offer. The most he would agree to pay for was operating room rental costs for one surgery, $1,300., only a fraction of what was needed. There is no recourse, you sign all that away before surgery so a lawsuit is not an option. I am still angry about what he put me through. I will never have another plastic surgery procedure, the risks are too high, the outcomes are only an improvement about half the time, at least that has been the case with the dozens of friends and family members I know who have had something done. Often they just look different, not better. I do look better (if my hair is down) but what I went through for the results I have was definately not worth it.
