Being the daughter a respected OBGYN and a RN it is rare to find a Dr. who is more commited to me than my parents. Unlike so many DR.´ s I´ ve been a patient of, Dr. Costigan respects my rights of confidentuality and gives me the respect of a human being; not ´ just a mental patient´ . His skill, ability, commmunication, availability, and bedside manner are off the charts. I know a good one when I encounter one. I have seen a plethora of GP´ s and specialists throughout AB and even in th States. So far, nobody nears Dr. Costigans overall gift in his given field. |
| 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | 10 | Dr. Costigan is a psyciatrist. He is genuinly commited to his patients and unlike most Dr.´ s in this given field, he listent and gives input as opposed to just getting carpel tunnel syndrome from doing the minimum for the maximum: writing prescriptions. |

This is so significant because I do have free will and when my thoughts are hopelessly depressed and skewed, he has the ability to talk some sense into me. Thank you so much. |

Through his patience and understanding I have come to better understand and seperate myself and my illness and move toward recovery in a delibrate and hopeful manner. Dr. Costigan has respected my need to understand and has empowered me with knowledge so I could collabratively make the best decisions for myself while continuing to keep my intrests at heart. Dr. Costigan has changed the course of my life: because of the time and care he takes with his patients I have a life to look forward to. |

| 10 | 10 | 10 | 9 | 10 | Took me a long time to be ready to see a psychiatrist again after spending the majority of my younger years in and out of doctors offices, always feeling worse off then when I arrived. After moving to Red Deer several years ago some colleagues of mine recommended him to me, and their appreciation and respect for him was hard to ignore. Not a day has gone by where I havent been grateful that I agreed to make an appointment with him. My life has changed in so many ways since I was introduced to him, finally I feel motivated in my life again after decades of silently dealing with depression. Im not sure if its because of the medication he recommended for me or just because I have someone to trust and someone who believes in me when i didnt believe in myself. Im sure its a combination of the two, either way , without Dr costigan i dont know where I would be, or how dark my life would have gotten. and as I said I am grateful for his support, knowledge, and dedication everyday. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone who feels that they are ´ beyond hope´ , because he gave me that back. |

| 1 | 1 | 2 | 2 | 1 | I was once once a patient of Dr. Costigan. I had to find another doctor. due to his stunning apathy and unwillingness to listen or help ,my conditions spiralled out of control. I would have been dead if I hadn´ t moved on to another dr. What doctor looks at his patient in his office fresh from the emerg from a third rx overdose, begging for help, writes a months rx for same meds and says see you at your next appt in a few weks????
