| 3 | 2 | 1 | 1 | 1 | In 06/05, I went to see Dr.Acker of Ormond Beach, Fl regarding a problem with my knee. After an examination, he told me that I had a medial meniscus tear and that surgery was needed and that 3-4 weeks after surgery that I would be fine. 10 days after surgery I went in for my post-op check up and was told me I was doing fine.
Every time I would go in for my follow up visits and I would ask why it was taking so long for me to get better and his response was : “You are a slow healer.” This went on until 12/05 when I went in for my final visit. At that point the told me that I’d better find a job where I could sit down because my knee was never going to be right. It has been 6 months since and my knee still bothers me. I can not stand for long periods of time or walk long distances. He didn´ t have enough concern for my problem to try and determine why I still have pain in my knee.
I feel I was treated very unprofessionally.
