Then after my appt. she calls to advise me of results but only tells me to contact my doctors office who referred me. I call them thinking they contacted me and they have no idea why. Not till a MONTH later does she call me stating I didn´ t return her call because I didn´ t know she called. NOW I get the results ....
Also, they have office hours and they have " phone hours." If you have a 9:30am appt. and never been to the office you cannot call to get directions or state you are lost because they don´ t answer their phone till 10am. You can´ t call to confirm your appt. because there is no voice message and you have to try and call when they choose to answer the phone.
The Dr. herself was abrupt and when I was done my physical she just ushered her hand and meet and gruffly stated " get your clothes on." It wasn´ t my idea to take them off!
I would NEVER go to her again and have advised this to my referring doctor. Horrible experience.
I am sure she knows what she is doing, it´ s the manner in which she does it and how she manages her office which lacks. |
| 4 | 2 | 1 | 5 | 3 | I went to see Dr. Bleszynski for the first time today. It was probably the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. There is absolutely NO compassion or patient care in this medical office. Her touch is very aggressive so everything she did was painful when I know it shouldn´ t have been. I was called into her office to talk about why I was there and the first thing she said was " Why are you here?" like I was a major inconvenience in her day. So, I proceeded to tell her about what was happening with my condition and she paid no attention to me, nor did she show any kind of interest or compassion. Then I was in the treatment room with my feet in stirrups while another employee (I assume she was just a person to help out in the office) barges into the room while she knocks. And the doctor didn´ t even care! This isn´ t a show room for the public! She also took a swab but then proceeded to throw it on the floor to deal with it later. She also threw the speculum into the sink across the room rather than placing it somewhere hygienic. There was a definite lack of professionalism of everyone who works in that office. I had to go to the biomedical lab for a blood test and I thought I needed to take the swab with me at the same time, but the same woman who barged into the room didn´ t know if I was supposed to take it or if they send it in. She lacked professionalism and knowledge on how the office functions (which is not well). This whole experience has made me incredibly angry. I want to make it public how aweful this doctor really is. |
| 10 | 9 | 9 | 5 | 10 | I had Dr. Blezinski with my son and had a happy delivery because of Dr. Blezinski or it would have been a BIG problem as I was in early labour and didnt know it. Nimmi (the lady who assists her)was very kind and understanding too. She was always there with a smile for me and i didnt feel neglected or anything. She came to check with the hospital as well to make sure everything was going well and she didnt really have to.
With my second preg, I have asked for Dr. Blezinski specifically. Have found her to be very through and good in her work. She makes sure all the blood work and everything is in @ the right time and I hope i get her when I deliver as well(last time I had to get an emergency C-sec and ended up with Dr. Tam ...now thats looooong story).as she had just gone off duty after being in the hosp all night.
She does put the metal thingy they use to look in the vjay into the sink but thats coz it needs to be sterilised after every use and so it doesnt contaminate anything else (what else will be a " hygenic" place for the thing with all your juices on it?? Dr. Blezinski was recommended to me by a friend and i am very happy with her. Yes the receptionist is an issue. She doesnt know anything and is very disorganised and rude. But its not the doctors fault. Most days we try to book the next appointment while in the doctors office. Saves time and the receptionist tends to be less rude that way.
Some people are good with small talk and not with their skills, and I would rather have a doctor who knows what she doing than a charmer. I have had no problems communicating with Dr. Blezinski either and I think she has a charming smile :-). I HIGLY recommend her to all as I think she ONE OF THE BEST in Surrey. (Seerat Baraich) |

I was admitted to SMH and the last day I was induced she was the doctor on call. She had her decent moments but she is a rather harsh person and does not have the best bed side manner. However, I was very sick, I had a lot of serious conditions and I was induced at 37 weeks and my baby wasn´ t doing the best either and she took very good care of my baby and I. She ended up performing an emergency c-section on me and it went beautifully. She is a good surgeon. I am fine now and so is my son so other then the bedside manner that she lacks I´ d say she is a good doctor. |

However, she asked a lot of questions and didn´ t waste any time telling how she could help me. She doesn´ t give any false hope, she explains herself thoroughly and tells you bluntly what will be done. Overall I was not impressed with the staff in the office. Dr. B is not overly sweet, but she knows what she is doing. There is a reason she´ s highly recommended. |

She did my 3 cesarian sections in the past and I was followed by her in 3 pregnancies which were high risk. Now I see her for other issues, not pregnancy related and she demonstrates to me knoweldge, ability to explained to me what is wrong and how to manage the problem.I had sometimes appointments for only 10 minutes because this is what was only needed to discuss. I also had long appointments for 1/2h or more and she explained everything so I could understand the problem. I like her for being very much to the point and at the same time involving me in decisions about treatment. |

Her bed side manner is abrupt, cold and crude. She treats you like a criminal. Everyone beware....do not go to this woman. | 6 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 3 | Dr. Blezynski was the on-call doctor when I went into labour with my son. She is the MEANEST, RUDEST, COLDEST, and CRUELEST doctor I have ever seen in my whole life! I am a plus size girl and when she came into the room to check my dialation, in front of my family and all the other nurses, she says to me, " how much do you weigh" what the hell does that have to do with how far into labour you are!? When I answered her, she looked at me and rolled her eyes! I was horrified and in the most pain of my life, it was a nightmare.
A few hours after my son was born she comes into the room to tell me that she was going off shift but had to say something to me first. Instead of asking how we were doing she looks at me (again with my husband in the room with me) and says, " I feel it is my job to tell you that it is a miracle that your son is alive, with your weight problem you should not even think about becoming pregnant again, you are lucky your son made it through the delivery because of your weight" . I was floored and in complete shock. Suffice it to say I had a great deal of Postpartum depression and I´ m sure thats what started it. I mean how cold can you be, I would have understood if she told me that maybe loosing some weight would be a good idea before getting pregnant again, but the way she said it still upsets me. My husband and I desperately want another baby, but she has me so scared that I don´ t want to get pregnant again. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HER TO MY WORST ENEMY!!!!!!! |

Baby OK though only 22 weeks. Excellent stitching. Walking a day later, minimal pain next day, not even ibuprofen 5 days later. " Playing" with husband 18 days later. Great surgeon. Communication and warmth will not be to American style (wishing to be babied). Europeans would expect different manners and this is how she is. |

She may be smart but she´ ll never let you know that because she won´ t even speak with you about any important and relevent details so you would think that doctor actually knows something. The last visit i attended with my daughter she asked her to monitor the baby´ s movements. She sed if the baby doesnt move atleast 6 times in a 2 hour period then she will admit her to the hospital because something would be wrong with the baby. We asked her several times what she meant by that but she did not give us an answer. My daughter left her office very upset and worried and it didnt seem like she cared at all. She has no bedside manner and is quite rude! Her and her staff never explain anything properly and dont seem to care about the patients. They always have her waiting for 1 1/2 to 2 hours in the office for her appointments. My daughter is at her 36th week and doesnt want to change Dr´ s now but she will never go back to see her for another pregancy. Hopefully its a different experience during delivery! |

she didnt clue in till i was 8 months pregnant....when she finally thought something is not right, she sent me for an ultrasound and turned out i had severly low amniotic fluids and had to be induced 4 weeks early. she is so rude. she spends barely 5 mins with you. i would not recommend this dr. |

She literally treat her patients like cows, no patient minding, stick her tools in you and hurl them to the sink in scary and rude manner. Insulting and shunting patient all along especially if you ask a question. She always feel like in very bad mood or rather hate her job. I begged my family doctor to give me the referral for ANY other gynecologist but she said Maria is the only one available given my medical urgency (others have weeks of waiting time); ofcourse; because nobody want to go to her, I would NEVER go to her if I had a choice. This is a dilemma with Surrey city that it is short of doctors and that´ s why some really bad doctors still in business. Poor patients are exploited because they don´ t have choice. This is the bad part of Canada MSP. Doctor counseling is half of the cure, but with her it is other way around, she and her staff would do their best to make you cry. |

I have not experienced any difficulties with staff, but find them efficient and courteous. This is a business they are running, after all, not a daycare. Dr. B presents treatment options clearly, answers questions clearly, and doesn´ t waste my time. I have never had to wait endlessly in her office for my appointment, paperwork is handled efficiently, and I feel I can trust the advice provided.

| 5 | 5 | 2 | 5 | 6 | Her skill and ability come into question partly due to poorness of communication/staff which I can explain in 4 mishaps I´ ve had up to my currently 6 month pregnancy.
Dr. Issue #1: For month 3 4 and 5, I was frustrated and miserable, sometimes to tears, bc of the itching from a vaginal bacterial and yeast infection. After finishing several antibotics refills and FOUR treatments of caneston does Dr. B mention the continued itching could be just dry skin for which I should just lubricate!! No wonder the Caneston wasn´ t working. I wasted my $$ and was miserable that entire time.
Dr. Issue #2: After 2 ultrasounds she told me everything looked fine and I didn´ t need anymore. But on my next visit she tells me I need a followup ultrasound and that her staff would schedule it and let me know when it was. I called after not hearing from them after 2 weeks and was put on hold and was mistaken for someone else twice when another person answered the line. After confirming they were looking at the right file they gave me the appointment time which prompted me to ask why I was never contacted/informed. I was put on hold again to confirm the neccessity of a followup ultrasound and was then told I didn´ t need one after all even though she provided me with an appointment time just minutes earlier.
Issue 3 (Dr/Staff) I was told by Dr.B´ s receptionist that I didn´ t gain much/enough when she weighed me in. When I saw Dr. B she said I was fine. WTF
Issue 4 (Staff) Nemmi, her assistant, didn´ t give me all the requisition pprs I needed for biomedical tests so I had to make a trip back another day just to get it. When I when to pick it up, the oriental receptionist was so rude. She made eye contact when I approached yet continued to finish recounting a story to the other indian receptionist before stopping to let me speak. I got my ppr work and asked a question only to be blatelantly snubbed when someone else entered the office and approached the desk. She directed her attention and started small chat without answering my question and shouted " im sorry" as I stormed out. So unprofessional.
OVERALL: I don´ t care if my OBGYN is warm or friendly but checkups, accessments, and communication from and between Dr/assistant/reception to me SHOULD BE ACCURATE and PROFESSIONAL. That should not be too much to ask for. I´ m itching to look for another dr but i didn´ t have a family doctor to begin with and had to go to a walk in clinic just to get a damn referral where I ended me Dr. B. The only light at the end of the tunnel is if the doc on call the day of the delivery is better than the one monitoring my pregnancy. |
